David has been active as a drummer since the early 2000s to date, contributing to the Ecuadorian metal scene live and in the studio, inspiring new generations of drummers.
He joined Descomunal in 2009, where both he and the band had enormous opportunities to develop and grow, dozens of festivals and venues, national and international tours, and the chance to create new music and put it into the studio with Carlos.
“When I heard the demos of Carlos’ (Colossal) new songs, it was love at first listen, I was very excited to be able to collaborate as a studio drummer. We have been working together for 15 years, and I instantly knew that it was going to be a product that I would be very proud of. I can’t think of a better tool than music to create community and awareness about issues as relevant as climate change, the rights of those who have no voice, and a more just society for all.”
