Other than sounding colossal, bringing a message across was paramount to me: so many things are twisted and wrong in our society, yet metal is there to inspire everyone to do better…

Born and raised in Ecuador, Carlos became an iconic musician in the local metal scene after the success of his bands: Descomunal and Colapso, both considered pillars in this subculture since the 2000’s. After moving to The Netherlands and alongside still being an active member of the first one after more than 2 decades, Carlos started a brand-new collective: Colossal where he, as the mastermind and producer, portrays an evolution that only maturity and experience could depict.

“I wanted to start a Netherlands-based projectin the same vein of Descomunal, massive sounding and with a political stance. Other than sounding colossal, bringing a message across was paramount to me: so many things are twisted and wrong in our society, yet metal is there to inspire everyone to do better…I am really looking forward to bring the collective to a live format next year!”
